Bear Crawl 5K Fun Run
Join us on August 3rd at 9:00am for the Danville Bear Crawl 5K Fun Run before the Annual Danville Fair! This years 5K Fun Run benefits the Danville VT Dog Park Committee, woof!
This is a family-friendly fun run/walk is to raise money for the Danville VT Dog Park Committee, woof! Prizes will be awarded to winners in each age group.
The race will begin at the Danville green, go down Peacham Road, go West on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail to the turn around point, back East to Brainerd Road and North on Brainerd back to the Danville Green for the finish.
This is not a timed race. All ages are welcome to walk/run/ride in stroller during the 5K. Service dogs only.
If you register before May 1st, $25 per person (includes a shirt!). After May 1st the price is $30. 13 and under are free.
Schedule
8:30am-9:00am: Sign-In/Registration. Check-in at the table to receive your bib number or to complete your day of registration.
9:00am-10:30am: Race begins! Line up on the shutdown portion of Peacham Road, we will begin promptly at 9:00am.
10:00am-11:00am: Cool Down Party – the race will on the Green with music, post run snacks and drinks.
10:00am: Breakfast on the Green – Several vendors will be slinging coffee and food. Snag a good spot for the Grand Street Parade before it starts!
10:30am: 93rd Annual Danville Community Fair Parade begins – Brainerd Street, to Route 2 and Around Park Street. The announcer will be at the corner of Route 2 and Peacham Road.

Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers to help set up tables, cones, water station, after party, and to direct runners along the route. August 3rd, 2024: 8:00am-11:00am
