Welcome to Danville’s FIRST Scarecrow Decorating Competition! 

These scarecrows will line the Danville town green through Halloween! Scarecrows must be child appropriate, please no political themes or anything too scary/gory. Let your imaginations sore!

Scarecrows need to be delivered to 101 Park Street, next to the Pope Library, no later than October 21st. We will be set up on the green near the gazebo on Saturday, October 14th, 3pm-5pm for drop-offs, 101 Park Street Drop-off Saturday, October 21st 10am-12pm or make arrangements for pick-up before then with Chelsea (contact info below).

Scarecrow installation will take place October 22nd and online voting will take place October 23rd-27th! Winners will be announced Saturday, October 28th. First Place – $100, Second Place – $50, Third Place – $25

Scarecrows will be removed November 1st, if you would like to have your scarecrow back you may pick up at 101 Park Street. Please make arrangements with Chelsea for pick-up/drop-off before November 5th.
