Welcome to Danville’s 3rd Annual Scarecrow Decorating Competition!

These scarecrows will line the Danville town green through Halloween! Scarecrows must be child appropriate, please no political themes or anything too scary/gory. Let your imaginations sore!

Start crafting your scarecrows now and then install yours to any light pole (first come, first serve) around the green the weekend of Oct 24-26 (you’re welcome to decorate the week before but no earlier please!). Once your scarecrow is installed please let us know what light pole number you used via this form. Pre-register below – there will be an adult and child category as well as a Danville School Class category. There will be a box of rope, zip ties, ect. left on the gazebo closer to the installation date for you to use.

Online voting will take place October 27-31st! Winners will be announced Saturday, November 1st. First Place for both Adult and child – $100 each category and a Pizza Party from Tirozzi’s Bakery & Pizza for the Best Danville School Class.

Scarecrows will be removed November 3rd, if you would like to have your scarecrow back you may pick up from the light pole Nov 1-2 or at 101 Park Street Nov 3rd and on. Please make arrangements with Chelsea to pick up after the 3rd.
