Bear Crawl 5K Fun Run
Join us on August 2nd at 9:00am for the Danville Bear Crawl 5K Fun Run before the Annual Danville Fair! This years 5K Fun Run benefits the Giving Garden at A Fairy’s Dream Farm in Danville.
This is a family-friendly fun run/walk is to raise money for the Giving Garden! Prizes will be awarded to winners in each age group. Each participant will take home a perennial seedling and a t-shirt!
All ages are welcome to walk/run/ride in stroller during the 5K. Service dogs only. Bibs provided. Not chip timed, but there will be a clock for runners to note their times. Names and times of winners, 1st-3rd place male and female will be displayed on a scoreboard. Fun plant/gardening themed performance t-shirt with registration – design coming soon!
The price is $35 but enjoy some Early Bird Discounts: May 1st-31st at $25 and June 1st-30th at $30. Age 13 and under are free or $15 if they would like a shirt. You can register online until July 31st, after that you must register the morning of the event. Additional shirt available for sale at the link below and on race day.
Schedule
8:30am-9:00am: Sign-In/Registration – find the table on the East side of the green across from the post office. Check-in at the table to receive your bib number or to complete your day of registration.
9:00am-10:30am: Race time! Line up on Peacham Road near the registration tent, we will begin promptly at 9am. There will be a water stop outside the Danville Train Station.
10:00am-11:00am: Cool Down Party – the race will on the Green with music, post run snacks and drinks.
10:30am: 94th Annual Danville Community Fair Parade begins – Brainerd Street, to Route 2 and Around Park Street. The announcer will be at the corner of Route 2 and Peacham Road. Feel free to hop in and join the parade!
